Early Career Researchers Workshop

The Early Career Researchers Workshop part of the Programme is intended for Clinical Fellows / PhD Students, Clinical Lecturers, Intermediate Fellows and Research Active Consultants (within the first 5 years of their appointment as consultant). Participants should be introduced by a member and are invited to join for the whole of the Annual Meeting at a special registration rate of £150.

The workshop will cover three themes:

  • The future of clinician scientists
  • Research integrity
  • Funding strategies and opportunities

Each theme will be represented by three eminent panellists who will introduce the topic, followed by discussion.

The Early Career Researchers Workshop will start at 10:00 am until 12:30 pm on Thursday, 28 March. Registration includes:

  • The Early Career Researchers Workshop
  • All scientific sessions
  • The 3rd Association of Physicians of Great Britain & Ireland and Academy of Medical Sciences Joint Symposium
  • The Reception and the Annual Dinner at Glasgow City Chambers on Thursday, 28 March 2019
  • Badge and all meeting materials
  • Morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea
  • Certificate of attendance

This session is open to Clinical Fellows / PhD Students, Clinical Lecturers, Intermediate Fellows and Research Active Consultants (within the first 5 years of their appointment as consultant) who are required to be nominated by a member of the Association.

The Association is also keen to accept others who may benefit from the Workshop.
